Ok, so, this one is truly an extreme UFO. Why u ask, well I'd machine quilted it on a friend's Voyager 17 longarm last year. The machine didn't take well to being turned in a curvy manner, thus I really disliked what I'd quilted. I washed it hoping it would look better, but nooooo.
So, I let it sit, thinking someday I'll "skin" it, re quilt it, all the while sooo dreading that job...
Now that I have an HQ16, I loaded it on the frame and it only took 2 hours to "skin". I popped holes in the backing, but only one tiny hole in the front, quilted a panto pattern, and voila!
The pattern is a Miss Rosie's...
As a side note we had a swamp cooler put in the sun/sewing room yesterday. I was able to get in here by 8:30pm instead of 11pm due to the overwhelming COOLNESS! All this chilliness should get me more longarming time!
Note to Barbara Ann...Nope not a hard one to make, u just really need some kind of design wall...

Was this quilt complicated to make? I got the book from the library and really liked the pattern - and your quilt - but wondered about the ease of making it.

I just recently purchased an HQ 16 too. I have the sit down version though due to lack of space to set up a frame. I'm lovin' mine and hope to get a few more UFOs completed before the year is out.
Your quilt is gorgeous. I must give it to you, taking apart a quilt to quilt it again. I too have a HQ16 and loving it.
